William Marsh, Chairman of the Board of Directors
After serving on the Human Resources Unlimited (HRU) Board of Directors for several years, William Marsh was elected Chairman in September, 2007. In accepting his nomination, Mr. Marsh remarked that he intends to leverage his strength, experience, and expertise with that of the board members' to better serve the needs of the community.
In his role as Chairman, Mr. Marsh is responsible for leading the board in its efforts to support the organization's mission. Working with the President and CEO, Mr. Marsh assists in the planning and ongoing evaluation of HRU's strategic direction.
Mr. Marsh is the Division Executive for Retail Banking and Financial Services at Hampden Bank where he oversees the departments that deliver products to consumers and small businesses. He also manages the Bank's divisions which provide consumers with financial planning, investments, and insurance.
Mr. Marsh also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Top Floor Learning, an adult literacy agency in Palmer, and as a Board Member for Rebuilding Together, a national organization that helps home owners live in warmth, safety and independence. He has attended St. Lawrence University in New York and the State University of New York at Cortland.

Donald Kozera, President/CEO
Donald Kozera is responsible for the operations and growth of Human Resources Unlimited (HRU) while leading the agency to achieve its vision. In cooperation with the Board of Directors, Mr. Kozera creates processes which set HRU's strategic direction. He also establishes the standards and goals for each department to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively. He is continuously assuring that member services are in line with the agency's mission and that they are of the highest quality.
Prior to his position at HRU, Mr. Kozera served as the Fiscal Director for Carval Enterprises, the Business Manager of the Community Council of Greater Springfield, and a Program Manager for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Keene State College and a Master's Degree from American International College.
Mr. Kozera serves on both the Board of Directors and the Member Benefits Committee for the Mass Council of Human Service Providers. He has been the recipient of the Pioneer Valley Business Excellence award and the Not for Profit Employer of the Year award. |

Patricia Attanasio, Director of MR Services
Patricia Attanasio oversees the services and operations of the Mental Retardation Department, in addition to its planning and expansion. She directs the mental retardation management team, resulting in high quality programs and growth of services in line with the HRU mission.
Ms. Attanasio was a Case Manager for the Center for Humanistic Change before joining HRU. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Salem State College and a Master's Degree from American International College.
Ms. Attanasio is the Director of Ready, Set, Hire; a member of Western Mass Service Providers; and a member of ADDP (Association of Developmental Disabled Providers). She is also the President of the Holy Cross PTO and the St. Catherine's Pool Association. In 2006 she was recognized for her outstanding work with the Asian Family Project of Management Consulting Services (MCS). |

Susanne Simon, Director of Human Resources
Susanne Simon is responsible for agency wide human resources planning and development which includes reviewing current practices, following industry trends, and incorporating new developments. She also recruits new employees, handles benefits and compensation, evaluates performance, and conducts policy and procedure revisions.
Prior to joining HRU, Ms. Simon was the Director of Human Resources for several organizations including: Abilities Unlimited, Goodwill Industries, and Springfield College. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University and a Master's Degree from Pennsylvania State University.
Ms. Simon has a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute. She is currently the Chair of the Religious School Committee for the Sinai Temple, a member of the Thornton Burgess School Council, and an Adoption Committee Member and volunteer for the Heartland Golden Retriever Rescue. |

Margaret Jordan, Director of Mental Health Services
Margaret Jordan oversees the mental heath division of HRU including the four clubhouse model programs in Springfield, Westfield, Florence, and Southbridge. She ensures that all services operate within contract guidelines and provide the highest quality employment and rehabilitation services to program members. Ms. Jordan is the primary contact for the Department of Mental Health, HUD, and all funders. She attends regional meetings and participates in task forces to reinforce principals of rehabilitation and recovery in community mental health services.
In 1988, Ms. Jordan was hired by HRU to serve as the Manager of Forum House in Westfield. She served in that capacity until 1992 when she began her current position. Before HRU, she was the Director of Westfield Enterprises. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Ithaca College.
Ms. Jordan is Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) through USPRA. She is also a Facilitator for the Social Justice Committee of Northampton, a volunteer for the Grove Street Shelter, and a volunteer for St. Mary's in Northampton.
Margaret Jordan is a surveyor for CARF (The Accreditation Commission) in their Employment and Community Services Division; she serves as a member of the Board of Directors and current president of MassPRA - the Massachusetts Chapter of the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association. |
